more changes

my tattoo

bird and yinyang

In the past four weeks, I have gotten a tattoo, applied for four jobs, taken a part-time temp job, and accepted a new full-time job offer.  I have also agreed to assist the coordination of a retreat which is held annually in Spring.  Transformation continues.  I see more opportunities every day.   I feel the shift taking place.  I feel the excitement and anxiety weaving around each other.  All the changes that have been going on this year have busted my myth: “change is bad, uncomfortable, loss”.  Now I’ve experienced that change is good, survivable, expansive.  My work location changed.  My boss left and I got a new one.  Now for a different job. Wow. I’m even considering moving this summer. I haven’t had the energy to even think about for the past three years, but I have been wanting to expand to a larger space with a yard for that long. We shall see… change is in the air! and in the earth! and in me!  All together, all at once, we are changing.

(image description: The bird represents my fave Beatles song “Blackbird” which has lyrics referring to overcoming hardships and having hope. In mythology and spirit lore, birds are described as messengers between spirit and physical realms. YinYang represents balance, wholeness, unity, harmony, and integration. These are the only two symbols I’ve felt strongly enough about to spend an hour and a half under the ink guns and permanently display on my flesh. It is inspiring to me!)
